Brief Description

Scaling of CSA is needed to achieve agricultural transformation in a climate change context. Successful cases of south-south collaboration have demonstrated its importance to promote and facilitate action at different scales. Dialogue between peers of different countries and regions to share common challenges have the potential to unlock and enable collective action for tackling climate change in the agricultural sector.

We want to encourage researchers and practitioners to share their knowledge and capacities on soil and biomass carbon sequestration options, which might be useful in other contexts, countries and regions. With these topics, we aim to cover options that promote synergies between adaptation and mitigation.

We will support south-south exchanges on innovative soil and biomass carbon sequestration options in agriculture with potential to scale. Five initiatives were selected to pitch their ideas in this side-event and one will be awarded to fund a south-south exchange. The prize is up to US $15.000. Go for it!
