Friday, 11th October 2019

Participants of the 5th Global Science Conference on Climate-Smart Agriculture are invited to participate in a field trip organized and hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Republic of Indonesia.

The field trip will be a full-day excursion to visit one of the villages in Bali implementing bio-industry based farming systems initiated by the Balinese provincial government with technical assistance from the Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology (AIAT) Bali to accelerate adoption of agricultural technologies.

The main site we will visit is Antapan village, located in the dry land region of Tabanan, Bali. This village has been successful in implementing the bio-industry based farming system in its efforts to tackle climate change impacts.

Besides visiting Antapan village, field trip participants will also have opportunities for sightseeing and visiting Bedugul, one of the main tourist destinations in Bali. Bedugul is a beautiful mountain lake resort area located on a high plateau in the center of the island.
